“Chukotka is a map that pits players against a dangerous wilderness, where towns and cities connected by few roads, while forests, mountains, and rivers separate key resources. The island was created to bring players back to a primitive survivalist mentality, where the next hospital, grocery store, or vehicle requires you to trek across a dangerous frontier. Knowing how to hunt, collect wood, and scavenge stealthily will be necessary for anyone who wishes to survive. There are many ways to navigate throughout the map, such as by highway, coastline, river, or dirt roads. Only two cities exist on the island and will likely be warzones. Hardcore survivors will learn to appreciate the scattered towns and farms for safer resources. Bridges are the only means to transport land vehicles from both sides of the island, and can even be destroyed. Airports in the rural Chukotka area are merely dirt landing strips that will test the skills of any pilot. If survivors are willing to endure a dangerous hike, the top tier military loot is located on the peak of the 1000 meter Bear Mountain in the center of the map.
